RESPONSIBLE SOURCING PROGRAM
Advanced Chemical Company - Responsible Sourcing Policy
Issue Date: April 1, 2019
中国老人倣爱视频Advanced Chemical Company is a conformant smelter registered with the Responsible Business Alliance, and conforms to the requirements set forth by the Responsible Minerals Initiative’s (RMI’s) Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) Standard, that aligns with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains on Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
Advanced Chemical Company classifies any supplier or gold-bearing material as high-risk–and thus would be avoided– that is associated with conflict, human rights or financial risks identified in Annex II of OECD’s Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains on Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. If any supplier poses a risk of sourcing material that is associated with these risks, Advanced Chemical Company will work with that supplier to address the identified risk or, if the supply is unwilling to cooperate, terminate the business relationship.
As an organization who strives to be a good steward within the communities and industries in which we work, Advanced Chemical Company is committed to environmental and social responsibility, through:
- Consistently improving procurement practices to recognize material being sourced from low risk areas, and to eliminate sourcing material from identified high risk areas,
- Maintaining programs and practices which allows us to identify suppliers involved in anti-money laundering, financing of terrorism, or inhumane labor practices, whom we will decline to do business with,
- Aptly evaluating gold suppliers through a Know Your Counterparty (KYC) process prior to transactions occurring, and
- Responding identified risks or grievances.
Currently, gold is the only mineral on the list of “Conflict Metals” that is related to our products, chemistries, or services.
To ensure our program remains globally relevant to ever evolving times, we have committed to perform ongoing monitoring of and continually improve our sourcing program and gold suppliers, as well as, assessing the secondary refineries and smelters whom we utilize.
Advanced Chemical Company sources and refines gold from recyclable materials. As defined by the Responsible Business Alliance, recyclable material includes end-user, post-consumer products, scrap and waste metals, materials arising during refining and product manufacturing, or investment gold and gold bearing products. The category of recyclable materials may also include fully-refined gold that has been fabricated into grain, good delivery bars, medallions, and coins. Should our sourcing strategy change to involve mined gold, Advanced Chemical Company will evaluate all mined sources through the implementation of our Procedure to Identify Conflict-Affected and High-risk Areas.
中国老人倣爱视频Should any person or party, either internal or external to our organization, have concerns regarding our sourcing practices or our handling of gold, may initiate a grievance with the Responsible Business Alliance by way of visiting their grievance portal at
